With three new direct flights announced, 2020 is the year for travel to New Zealand.

Travelling to New Zealand in 2020 has never been easier with Air New Zealand, American Airlines and Air Canada all announcing new direct flights.

Beginning October 2020, Air New Zealand will offer a direct service between Auckland and New York. The new service will operate year-round, three times a week and will cut travel time between the two cities by around three hours.

American Airlines have also announced the launch of the only non-stop flight between Los Angeles and Christchurch. The service provides a new direct gateway to the South Island of New Zealand, renowned for its untouched, scenic landscapes. Launching in October 2020, the service will operate three times a week through March 2021.

In addition, American Airlines have also announced the launch of a new direct service from Dallas to Auckland. This service will provide over 70 cities across the United States with one-stop flight connections to New Zealand, including Louisville, Savannah, Monterrey and Mexico.

Earlier this year Air Canada also launched a seasonal direct flight service from Vancouver to Auckland. The new service begins 12 December 2019 and will operate four flights a week until March 2020.

The new flight connections provide gateways to both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, making travel to New Zealand easier than ever for visitors traveling from Canada and the US.
