An extensive aerial tour of the stunning coastline of the Northland region combined with a trip to Tane Mahuta, Lord of the Forest.
This tour takes you along the coastline north of Matauri Bay, including Cape Karikari, before heading to Cape Reinga and Cape Maria van Diemen in the far north. It then tracks the west coast southward until you arrive at Omapere, where you will stop off and visit Tane Mahuta.
After touching down at Omapere your guide will transport you to the Waipoua Forest, a natural stage for an unforgettable encounter with some of the largest remaining Kauri trees in the world. Returning to the helicopter you will continue your journey to the Northern most tip of New Zealand. Take in the stunning Ahipara dunes and the iconic Ninety Mile Beach. The Tasman Sea and Pacific ocean collide in a swirl of currents as we round Cape Reinga lighthouse. Fly over the purest deposit of silica sand in the world at Parengarenga Harbour, before finally touching down at Kauri Cliffs Lodge via the Cavalli Islands and Matauri Bay.
