Our Matakauri Lodge, Head Chef, Jonathan Rogers, pours both passion and pride in equal measure into his cuisine, creating a tasting menu daily that delivers the fresh, intense flavours of high quality, locally sourced produce.
With dishes influenced by the unique surroundings of the Central Otago region, dining at Matakauri Lodge truly celebrates the local environment, offering an experience that you won’t find anywhere else in New Zealand.
Each course comprising your exquisite five-course tasting menu will be paired with a complementary wine, courtesy of our expert sommelier. Central Otago is home to many award-winning wineries and little-known gems, and many of these are featured on our world-class wine list.
You will enjoy your incredible evening meals in our main dining room, a warm and refined space that offers the perfect setting to enjoy the sights, smells, textures and flavours of some sensational culinary creations.
Package rates are quoted per person, per night, based on double or twin occupancy. All rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars, exclusive of 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST). A two-night minimum stay is required during the high season (December 15 – March 31). Packages are subject to change and availability.
